Artist Statement
In La femme équi-LIBRE, Josée Gallant Gordon shines as a luminous figure. A social worker, entrepreneur, mother, and engaged citizen, she embodies the rare ability to turn challenges into opportunities.
Through her unique connection with horses, she invites us to rethink the bonds we share with ourselves and with others. Through my films, I strive to carve paths that encourage reflection on how we live, act, and engage with the world around us. Modern life often pulls us into a relentless pace, where routines become blinders, narrowing our vision of what is possible. By telling inspiring stories, I aim to open windows to new horizons, offer a breath of fresh air, a pause, and remind us that our choices shape not only our lives but also the lives of those around us and our communities.
This film is an ode to creativity, humanity, and the strength of women to build and nurture the world. It is also a mirror held up to youth—a call to nurture their ideas and dreams and to imagine a more connected and compassionate society, inspired by role models like Josée.
